It just kind of scares me, I guess.

Tonight I was thinking about a very exciting event in my near future: graduation.

Okay. So I’m not graduating until next year. But still. The seniors are FREAKING OUT and crying and stuff, and it made me think.

How many more times am I going to do these things with my friends?

  • Have “Free Dress Friday”
  • Go and have Bubble Tea together and look at all the weird clothes at Target
  • Have tennis practice [we make it fun!]
  • Have seriously deep conversations at our tennis matches [ok, mostly just awkward things that happen at volunteering, but still. I’m gonna miss this.]
  • Have “Tie Tuesday” [and have all my friends say “you look like Mr. fillintheblankteacher!” and have me say “omg I’m wearing a button down shirt, GET OVER IT.”]
  • Spend the whole math class period taking IB practice tests [ok, I actually love these packets.]
  • Hang out after school and do who-knows-what
  • Hang out before handbells concerts
  • Talk about how annoying the other grades are
  • Squeal over LBD/TV shows
  • Talk about tea
  • Stress out about the latest English reading/test/essay coming up

It’s kind of scary. I mean, on one hand, I’m happy to graduate [so, so, happy], but on the other hand, I’m never going to see some of these people again [which is a good thing] [except at our reunions, but stop ruining this for me].

Sigh. My friends and I better keep in touch. Skype to the rescue!

Until next time, Em 🙂

I can’t tell if that went well or badly…

I just came out of my IB History class. We had a “Paper 1 Practice Test”. If you don’t know what the IB Paper 1 is, let me explain. IB is a programme that spans over two years for each subject, and at the end of the two years you have a huge paper to write, a few tests, and some other stuff.

The tests are actually called “papers” (don’t ask me why). You have about 4 short answer questions to answer in 60 minutes.

We did a practice paper today, to get prepped for the paper (which is at the end of this year – year 1).

We were given the questions ahead of time, and we worked on them in class – but this won’t happen during the test. Every question will be a surprise.

Anyways, I guess I had my points memorized because I was in and out of there in 30 minutes – and it’s supposed to take you 60 minutes.

I think I did well – I wrote 5 pages, single sided – but who knows? I can’t wait till we get the results back.

Until next time, Em 🙂

Only at my school…

So get ready for this. Get your headphones out and get ready for a lot of laughing. Now go watch this video. During lunch, my friend asked me if I had seen it, and then she started singing it… let’s just say I almost pissed my pants. And then she showed me the video, and it got worse. Then right before class started (during lunch) my friends and I went into one of the classrooms and watched it, and when the teacher came in we were all laughing and shut the laptop really quickly because let’s just say… it’s not teacher-friendly (don’t worry though). And then he ran over to the laptop and tried to open it… only at my school 🙂

Also, my band seating auditions are tomorrow… so nervous!

Here’s the songs I’m playing

Delibes, March and Procession of Bacchus – 1:29 is my favorite part

Beethoven, Symphony No. 1, Allegro Con Brio – 2:06 is where we start

Handel, Largo – So slow

Until next time, Em 🙂
