Sweater Diaries #9 and Lock-ins…

Today I started knitting all the way around the sweater… including the sleeves! Thanks LOTR, you made 3.5 hrs of knitting straight possible.

Eek! Almost done with the sweater!

Eek! Almost done with the sweater!

Sorry for the mess haha… I didn’t feel like cleaning up.

Today I’ve also got a church lock-in. Pretty much, 5 or so of us high schoolers from my church/friends/another church are going to spend the night in my church, watching movies (The Matrix… bring it on) and pretty much chiling out. The only sad thing is that I’m the only girl (MIMI YOU DITCHED ME 😥 )

So if you don’t hear from me tomorrow, you’ll know that I got kidnapped by those suspicious high school boys. At least I’ve got Keanu Reeves to save me, though.

Until next time, Em 🙂

So I totally didn’t just ditch my homework to go watch Pitch Perfect with my family… erm

It felt like it lasted FOREVER. Like I was actually in the movie. Which is pretty awesome.

Also, Jesse in the movie? Skylar Astin? Drool.

Every time he came on screen I couldn’t help but smile.

You know that actor that when you see his face, you just smile?

Until next time, Em 🙂

The Weekly Post: 9/9/12

Song of the week: Sorry by Buckcherry… so if I had to say my favorite song? This’d be it. It makes me feel like crying every time I hear it. Also, here’s some other good songs! Anywhere But Here by SafetySuit and  The Story Left Untold by Every Avenue! I was looking at songs that I had bookmarked to listen to later, and these were sitting right there… I’m so happy I decided to listen to them 🙂

Book of the week: Let It Snow by Maureen Johnson, John Green, and Lauren Myracle… so I already featured this book in another post, but can I just say, I re-read the first book in this “collection” and asdfkl I want to read it over and over and over… ugh.

Word of the week: flamdoodle. noun. nonsense

Cool fact: Hugh Grant is exactly one day older than Colin Firth! Way to go, British actors!

Something interesting that happened: I watched Love Actually… yeah so this video? Pretty much my life.

Quote of the week: “A life isn’t measured in hours or minutes. It’s the quality, not the length.” –Elsewhere (go read it)

Until next time, Em 🙂

FADS: Day 5

Day 5: Bright

I’m sorry to get all analytical on y’all, but this is the only thing I could think about when I saw the topic for today.

Here we have a wonderful picture of the movie I watched today, “Pretty Woman”.

How does this relate to “Day 5: Bright,” you ask? It’s the 2nd week of Junior year and already the teachers are loading on several hours of homework. Really?! My goal for this school year is to do my homework with a minimal amount of procrastinating. Well, that didn’t work out too well today. I still have some bio reading, and instead of doing the rest tonight, I decided to do it tomorrow and just watch “Pretty Woman” instead.

I came up with this great analogy, but it sounded way better in my head… here goes. So instead of being a “bright” student and doing all my homework before 9:30, the time I SHOULD go to sleep so that I get 9 hours of sleep, instead I watched a movie and am sitting here BLOGGING about my procrastinating-ness. Not very “bright” of me, eh?

Until next time, Em 🙂

This weekend I went up to the wondrous country of CANADA! Let me just say, Canada must be the country with the best looking guys (maybe Britain and Australia beat them…) because everywhere I turned there was another hot guy. Seriously. Also, I got a super-awesome Canada shirt (I have so much Canada apparel it’s not even funny). And I ate at Tim Horton’s. And drove through Surrey (I have wanted to go to the one in the UK ever since I saw The Holiday aka the movie where I can stare at Jude Law for 138 minutes). I also went on a super-cool treetop adventure where I walked around IN THE TREETOPS. All in all, a super  fun weekend! Except now I have to go back to school and take my finals. Sadness.

Until next time, Em 🙂

Rom-com fest and 3.14159265358979…

8. What kind of person attracts you?

Umm I love love love nerds. They’re the best. Smart+cute+ nice = perfect combo. Most nerds are nice, and I really don’t understand why people don’t like them. I mean, ya they’re different, but aren’t we all? I would rather go out with a nice, nerdy guy than a stuck-up, popular guy.

On another note, we had a snow day today because of ice on campus. So I decided to have a rom-com fest. Starting with “Never Been Kissed,” one of my favorite movies. If you want to watch a hilarious movie, go watch it. Plus, the teacher is really hot. Just sayin’.

Also, we apparently have drama rehearsal today (I’m a techie :)) and I’m NOT a fan of this idea. First, should we really be going on campus if WE HAVE A SNOW DAY BECAUSE OF HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS? Second, I don’t care if the show will suck. The actors should have practiced. Also, the singing-instructor made everyone sopranos, which sounds terrible. So ya, I’m not going. Sucks for them.

Oh and I almost forgot, HAPPY PI DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3/14 FOR THE WIN 🙂 I can’t wait till 3/14/15 because that will be the awesomest Pi Day ever.

A really cool mosaic in Berlin

Until next time, Em 🙂
