My friends rock…

Yesterday Lana and I were staying after school because we had a handbell concert… and we decided to dress up in these humongous pants (I could tie them around my neck and wear them as overalls… and I did) and run around in the hall by the faculty meeting. And then we took videos of us pretending to play the handbells and sent them to Megan. It was epic. The handbell concert went horribly, if you were wondering. Nobody played together and apparently no one looked at the conductor for the three pieces we played.

During chemistry class Megan and I were doing a lab, and we already knew what answer we were supposed to get. And when we didn’t get that answer, let’s just say we freaked out. We decided to… tweak our answers a bit… we were total ninjas.

And then when Megan, Mimi, me, and Christy (an exchange student) went to volunteer at a food bank… that’s when it got interesting. Mimi, Christy, and I went up to the loft to bag diapers. Then a shipment of bread came and we had to go unload it. It was pretty epic because we had to throw these bags of bread over our shoulders into this big crate. And I sort of hit Mimi and Christy in the head with the bread. I felt like Peeta. And once that thought popped into my head I started laughing really hard and started flinging the bread like a mad-woman. It was actually hilarious. Then when we were done we came back inside to finish packing the diapers. Well, once we got back up to the loft we noticed a REALLY HOT GUY. Now, I’m not talking cute. I’m talking IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL TO BE THAT HOT good looking. Christy started staring at him, and saying stuff like “oh my gosh guys” and “I have a perfect view of him”…. but that wasn’t the end of it. Megan was sitting right by him (Later she told us they were actually having a conversation! He’s a senior!) and we were waving at her and miming being hot and pointing at the cute guy. Well let’s just say that HE SAW US. He saw us pointing at him and screaming “Megan! Look!” Oh my word. But that’s not the worst. When we got back to school (we volunteer during one of our classes) Megan told us that she talked to him (as mentioned above) and that he has a gauge in his ear… ew. But he was still super good looking. And apparently there was another guy close to Megan who looked like this cute guy but didn’t have a hole in his ear. I wish I had seen him. Also, a few weeks ago, Christy and Mimi saw this really cute guy, and were screaming about it while stealing brownies from the staff lounge. Now, I saw a cute guy there, but I have no idea if it was the same one (I think it was. He was so good looking.)

Two days ago I had my last band concert. I’m so sad it’s over, but at least I have the summer camp to look forward to!  We played this song where the guy who plays trumpet has an AMAZING SOLO. I seriously stopped breathing. I ordered the DVD, so maybe I can upload it sometime! I’ve decided to start playing trumpet over the summer. I’ve wanted to play ever since 7th grade, but this kid is like my role model, so I’ve decided to finally start.

What are your most awkward stories?

Until next time, Em 🙂

Cinco de Mayo is usually a day for celebrating….

But it wasn’t for me. I went over to Anna’s house at 11 a.m. and watched her play tennis for 4 hours. Not fun. Then I expected to see Swimmer at her BBQ, but he DIDN’T SHOW UP. Apparently he went to someone else’s party. Sad. I’m actually sort of happy that Swimmer didn’t come because Anna and A were a bit… tipsy. Let’s just say that Anna told a 14-year old that she was going to marry him. So I guess it’s sort of good that Swimmer didn’t come. Sort of.

Until next time, Em 🙂

EDIT: Oh and I totally saw a girl who looks just like Rue from The Hunger Games. A and Anna were shrieking and she probably got freaked out.

Hunger Games!

Well, today I saw The Hunger Games, and it was pretty good, although there were some major plot points missing… but overall I thought it was a pretty good movie.

Also, I saw Swimmer today! And we made out. Passionately 🙂

APRIL FOOLS! I actually didn’t see Swimmer today, because he wasn’t able to go to the movie 😦 but I guess we’ll see each other some time. I shouldn’t rush anything.

Until next time, Em 🙂

ASDFJKL

HOLY MUSTACHES.

Okay, so yesterday I mentioned that I’m seeing The Hunger Games tomorrow (TEAM GALE!)………………. And I had an epiphany! Since my 14-year old brother is coming with us to see it, I figured, hey why not ask Anna to bring Swimmer along so that my brother would have some company? Great idea, I know.

Well, of course I asked subtly, and to quote The Lizzie McGuire Show (best show ever, TEAM GORDO!), “It needs to sound casual, but yet non-obvious. But obvious in a subtle way that wer’re like gonna get married. Soon.” Well, maybe not the getting married part.

All I wanted was to hang out with Swimmer (but that might be a problem, seeing as I’m going with my friends, and he’s going to be with my brother…), and hopefully that dream will come true. Because he seems like a really sweet guy, and come on, what’s better than a sweet guy?

Anyways, I texted my friend saying “hey do you know any guys around my brother’s age cuz he’s gonna be alone with us at the HG movie…” I was really hoping she would pick up on the hint, and she did! She replied, “uh yeah Swimmer’s 14…”

Result!

And yes, I know you’re probably all hitting a wall with your head, thinking, why does she like a 14 year old?! Well, he’s only 354 days younger than me. So it’s not like a huge age gap. Anyways, I’m not sure if he can go but I’m really hoping he can! And I’m gonna wear my lucky plaid shirt, maybe he’ll wear his and we can be twins.

Also, today I watched The Lizzie McGuire Movie, aka best movie ever. Besides A Cinderella Story and Never Been Kissed of course! Well right after Anna said that she would ask Swimmer if he could go with us, this song was going through my head on repeat… and it still is haha

Y’all should really watch that video, Vanesa is an amazing singer and guitar player!

Until next time, Em 🙂

Lizzie McGuire and Cupcake Making

Well, today I watched a few episodes of The Lizzie McGuire Show and have decided it is one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. I’m waiting for my VHS of the movie to come to the library (it arrives faster than the DVD), and then I can watch it and be happy!

Also, I’ve decided that because I’m going to have my own bakery when I grow up, I should probably make some cupcakes. So I’ve decided on a few recipes that I’m especially excited about:

Homemade peanut butter cups: http://www.sweetestkitchen.com/2009/04/homemade-peanut-butter-cups/#.T3ZsJmFSRLd

Raspberry lemonade cupcakes: http://triedandtasty.com/2011/07/raspberry-lemonade-cupcakes/

Chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes: http://triedandtasty.com/2010/11/chocolate-chip-cookie-dough-cupcakes/

I’ll be trying these out and telling y’all how they go!

Oh and also, I’m seeing The Hunger Games movie on Sunday! Yay!

Until next time, Em 🙂

I have just finished the 1st Hunger Games book. And I’m just going to say that I’m so excited for the movie, even though it’s nothing like I remember the book being like. But whatever; I’ve wanted to see the “real” Hunger Games  ever since I started the book.

JOSH HUTCHERSON

I have big news. In just 15 days, JOSH HUTCHERSON WILL BE IN MY TOWN. This is my chance to see a celebrity in person and hopefully get a picture of him/with him. Hopefully the latter.

I’m just hoping I won’t totally make a fool of myself by screaming “OH MY GOSH IT’S HIM!!!” or something equally stupid. And I’m hoping I don’t see any guys I know there either. Because two things that definitely don’t mix are guys and me being exited.

On another note, I went to the symphony yesterday and I saw a really cute guy I know (read: have seen) from orchestra. Twice. Out of around 3000 people. I’m thinking of saying hi when I see him on Monday, and saying something along the lines of “I saw you! At the Symphony!” but… that would be weird. And would have hilarious results.

Until next time, Em 🙂
