I check my inbox to see if I have any e-mails from the library… AND I DO. Woot woot! Time to read some e-books, cuz I just finished Reached by Ally Condie (I recommend all of her books, omg so amazing) and I need some new reading material.

But then when I go to check out the e-books, IT SAYS IT’S NOT READY TO CHECK OUT. What is this?!

Well, Harry Potter #2 was ready to check out, so I guess that’s a bright side.

But still! I want to read my mermaid story (don’t judge, I like mermaids. It all stemmed from my love of the show H2O. I watched all 3 seasons in less than a month [over summer break] So, obviously I like mermaids.)

Anyways, I’m off to go read the magicallness that is HP. And you know, procrastinate on my homework. Heh heh.

Until next time, Em 🙂

P.S. ~ I did borrow this awesome sweatshirt from my friend (that I will soon be getting – If I ever get the e-mail that they’re ready to pick up)… so that’s good! I’ll wear in my next TAP video, so you all can see it. Yay!

The Weekly Post: 9/9/12

Song of the week: Sorry by Buckcherry… so if I had to say my favorite song? This’d be it. It makes me feel like crying every time I hear it. Also, here’s some other good songs! Anywhere But Here by SafetySuit and  The Story Left Untold by Every Avenue! I was looking at songs that I had bookmarked to listen to later, and these were sitting right there… I’m so happy I decided to listen to them 🙂

Book of the week: Let It Snow by Maureen Johnson, John Green, and Lauren Myracle… so I already featured this book in another post, but can I just say, I re-read the first book in this “collection” and asdfkl I want to read it over and over and over… ugh.

Word of the week: flamdoodle. noun. nonsense

Cool fact: Hugh Grant is exactly one day older than Colin Firth! Way to go, British actors!

Something interesting that happened: I watched Love Actually… yeah so this video? Pretty much my life.

Quote of the week: “A life isn’t measured in hours or minutes. It’s the quality, not the length.” –Elsewhere (go read it)

Until next time, Em 🙂

Okay, so there’s this book that I love love love with a passion that can’t be contained. Wow, that sounds wrong. Anywaysss….. I stumbled upon this book in the library a few years ago and fell in love with it. I don’t know what it is, but I just love those lines around the edges on the cover… we recently got a piece of mail like that and I want to hang it up in my room. No creepy at all.

13 Little Blue Envelopes

13 Little Blue Envelopes, the best book ever (okay, maybe not the best. One of the best)

Anyways, I’ve been waiting for a sequel to come out for about… 4 or 5 years. NBD. I thought there would never be a sequel and I wanted to go over to the author’s house and make her write a sequel (I’ll spare y’all the gory details)

AND NOW THERE IS A SEQUEL HOLYMUSTACHES!!! I’ve been waiting for… oh 3 weeks for it to be available on my library account. AND I JUST FOUND OUT I CAN NOW READ IT AND MY LIFE IS OFFICIALLY COMPLETE!!! (I said that when I got the Diving 2012 Olympics Coke can but I guess now it’s even more true)

The most wonderful thing ever. Excuse me while I go watch the Olympic Trials again just to see David Boudia‘s face… yes I have it taped don’t judge

Excuse me while I fangirl while listening to this song and jumping around my room screaming.

Until next time, Em 🙂

That awkward moment when…

That awkward moment when the random, cute guy you saw at band practice 3 years ago shows up on Facebook. My friend tagged him in one of her pictures and can I just say he is looking fiiine 🙂

The best part is, he’s in theatre, he likes The All-American Rejects, he likes Lord of the Rings, he plays soccer, he plays an instrument, he plays chess (he’s starting a club at his HS), he’s smart, oh and did I mention he is SUPER CUTE?!

It sucks that I’m never going to talk to him, though. Yep, sure sucks.

Also, my Favorite Book of the Week! It’s called “Good Enough” by Paula Yoo, and is about a High School girl who plays the violin and is very stressed. There’s also some romance! I couldn’t put this book down. Go read it.

Until next time, Em 🙂

Sometimes I just hate people

Have you ever been in that situation, where you’re trying to chill out to your calm playlist of your favorite songs while playing Mahjong Titans, and then a bunch of teenage girls come in the room and totally ruin the moment? Sometimes people just don’t understand the concept of being quiet and letting the introverted kid listen to her music. Sigh.

On another note, I’ve decided to start sharing the Dating Rules that we learn in our history class (our teacher is just that cool)! So, without further ado, I present to you, rule #1!

  1. High school students don’t date college students.

Also, I’d like to present my favorite book of the week and favorite playlist of the week! Drumroll please…

1. Wherever You Will Go – The Calling (Go listen to the acoustic version, it’s so good)

2. Kiss Me Slowly – Parachute (My friend told me about this song, it’s so so so good)

3. Be My Escape – Relient K (Go listen to all of their songs, I love this one and Sadie Hawkins Dance)

4. Everywhere – Michelle Branch (Seriously, Michelle Branch is such a good singer)

5. Absolutely (Story of a Girl) – Nine Days (I think I heard this song on The Lizzie McGuire Movie…)

6. Chances – Five for Fighting (I actually learned of this song through the credits on a movie)

7. Stay the Night – James Blunt (Oh my word, this is a wonderful song. Not depressing at all)

8. Boys of Summer – The Ataris (A cover, way better than the original)

Finally…………………………… my favorite book of the week/my whole entire life, not even kidding. I love Jane Austen re-make books, and this is one of the best. Sure, the writing isn’t the best, but don’t judge a book by its writing! The book is: PRIDE AND POPULARITY BY JENNI JAMES!!!! She’s coming out with a whole entire series of Jane Austen re-makes (my heaven)…. oh my word.

Until next time, Em 🙂

Spring break and bread making!

Well, today was the penultimate day of school before spring break! Woot woot! So my whole grade went on a retreat to make Challah bread for the liturgy tomorrow. It was pretty fun, and we all made some delicious bread.

On another note, I have a great book for y’all to read. Sleeping Freshman Never Lie is a really good book about a freshman in high school, and there are plenty of twists and turns. Read it.

My new shirt. Pretty awesome, I know.

Until next time, Em 🙂

“I want to believe there is a somebody out there just for me. I want to believe that I exist to be there for that somebody.” -Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares

Today I heard a story that made me feel really sad and really happy at the same time. I was at a scrapbooking event (nerdy, I know) when one of the women said that she had been married for 40 or so years, and that she had gone to High School with her husband. The first thing that came to my mind was were they high school sweethearts. Someone asked about this, and she said that they had actually been best friends, but never went out. I literally wanted to cry right then and there. Why can’t I have a best friend that I feel like I want to spend every day of my life with them? The quote I have as the title pretty much sums up my feelings. Also the one below.

“Someday I’m gonna find somebody really, really great who’s right for me.” -Taylor Swift

So now I pretty much feel like I’m forever alone, but I guess as long as I keep my options open and don’t put too much pressure on getting a boyfriend, maybe I could find someone who makes me feel like that lady and her husband.

Until next time, Em 🙂

Oh, and you should really read Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares. It’s a great book.
