Has this happened to anyone else?! Because I am so freaked out right now…

Curling camp… 12 hours straight (with lunch break) of curling… I can barely walk right now.

I’m pretty much blind also because some people have really bright headlights and they drive like right next to me because there isn’t any divider on the road (yes I’m aware that I make no sense).

Oh and I just saw like… three dopplegangers. Why are Canadian people so good looking (at least the ones that came to camp) and so accent-y and awesome?!

First doppleganger: Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Okay, so not even funny. The kid from camp looks just like this angelic looking man.

Second doppleganger: Ricky Ullman from Phil of the Future (please tell me I’m not the only one that loves this show). I saw two guys that look just like him, and they’re not even related. Ohemgee.

Third doppleganger: Tom Daley… ’nuff said.

So I actually have more to say, besides my story about all the Canadian celebrity look alikes… and this part is actually really weird/creepy…

So I met this kid at camp when I was 10, and we emailed back and forth once in a while, and we’re friends on Facebook, etc. And today I met this kid who has the SAME EXACT name as him, and looks JUST LIKE HIM. I’m not sure if it actually is the kid that I met way back when, or he just looks like him and has the same name as him. I don’t really want to ask, either. But let’s just say that he is super adorable and ohmyword… yeah.

Until next time, Em 🙂

Day 14: A sign

I love Canada. I have countless Canadian merchandise… and people often think I’m Canadian. But I’m not. Though I will definitely move there if we get a Republican president. So I guess I will be Canadian in the future. But right now, not so much.

Here’s a picture I took of my favorite country (no, the USA is not my favorite country. I’ll admit it)

I definitely agree that it’s the best place on Earth. fo-sho.

Until next time, Em 🙂

Maybe I’m not as much of an introvert as I think I am

Today was my first day of band camp, one of my favorite weeks of the summer. It’s a day full of 5 1/2 hours of playing your instrument, which fulfills my dream of going to Interlochen, almost. Today I:

1. Made a friend after being at camp for 2 hours (I always thought of myself as an introvert, but I guess I just hate people, especially people my age which tend to be immature and cruel)

2. Played a clarinet in my Second Instrument class (my mouth vibrated and hurt so badly)

3. Played a bass clarinet  in my Second Instrument class (I am never going to play a wind instrument. I hate having spit fly all over my face)

4. Saw my handbell teacher, because he was teaching the handbell class (he didn’t recognize me for a minute because I got my hair cut, and it was really awkward for those few moments)

5. Saw a LOT of cute guys (I didn’t know they existed in my state, except for the cute workers at the vacuum/sewing store and Whole Foods)

6. Saw a guy who looked sorta like Paul Rudd in Clueless, in the respect that he would be gorgeous if he cared about his appearance (Okay, he’s still cute, even if he doesn’t care about his appearance)

7. Ran around with a Barney doll that I found, trying to find my orchestra conductor (his name is Barney… only two people figured out that was why I was looking for him)

8. DID NOT GET TO PLAY THE TRUMPET IN MY SECOND INSTRUMENT CLASS (this is a dream of mine. Thankfully I will be able to play it tomorrow/the next day because my orchestra conductor was using it to play with the trumpet section)

9. Had one of the interns make fun of my Canada shirt by saying everything to me with “eh” added onto it (I thought this immaturity ended when you graduated from the 8th grade, the last time this Canadian-make fun of-ness happened, but I guess even college students are immature)

10. Said “hi how are you?!” to a random guy because I was feeling very extroverted/random

Until next time, Em 🙂

OH CANADA!

This weekend I went up to the wondrous country of CANADA! Let me just say, Canada must be the country with the best looking guys (maybe Britain and Australia beat them…) because everywhere I turned there was another hot guy. Seriously. Also, I got a super-awesome Canada shirt (I have so much Canada apparel it’s not even funny). And I ate at Tim Horton’s. And drove through Surrey (I have wanted to go to the one in the UK ever since I saw The Holiday aka the movie where I can stare at Jude Law for 138 minutes). I also went on a super-cool treetop adventure where I walked around IN THE TREETOPS. All in all, a super  fun weekend! Except now I have to go back to school and take my finals. Sadness.

Until next time, Em 🙂
